"We'd booked a seasonal pitch at The Lighthouse — our little escape. One Sunday evening we'd driven out for fish and chips at the lighthouse café, watched the sunset over the cliffs. Got back to the park, went to unlock the caravan, and the key snapped in the door lock. Like, properly snapped — half the blade was still in the barrel. I was holding the plastic fob with a jagged bit of metal attached. Called Ian at about 8pm on a Sunday, didn't expect anyone to answer. He picked up on the second ring, was there in 20 minutes, extracted the broken bit, cut a new caravan key, and even fixed the lock so it was smoother than before. Said it was a common problem with older locks and sea air."
