"We were staying in a touring pitch at Thornwick Bay for the weekend. Saturday morning we walked down to the beach through the nature trail — stunning, with the seabirds and the chalk cliffs. I'd brought a small day-rucksack with drinks and snacks. When we got back to the pitch two hours later, the rucksack's side pocket zip was wide open and the car keys were gone. Must have snagged on a branch or I'd not zipped it properly. Retraced our steps — nothing. Ian was there within 20 minutes. Cut me a new key at the touring field. My wife was impressed by how calm I stayed. The secret is knowing a good auto locksmith."
