"We'd heard South Lea was a hidden gem — tucked under the Wolds, properly peaceful. Came for a long weekend with the touring caravan. First evening, I walked the site boundary to watch the sunset over the hills. Gorgeous. Sat on a stile, phone in one hand for photos, car key in the other. Must have set the key down on the stile post. Walked back in the dusk, got to the caravan, patted my pockets — nothing. Walked back with a torch but someone had presumably found it or it had fallen into the long grass. Either way, gone. Ian came out from Bridlington, found me in the dark with a fading torch, and cut me a new key right there. The stars were incredible that night — silver lining."
