How much does a Honda key replacement cost?+
Honda keys start from £99 for a basic key. Remote flip keys (Civic, CR-V, Jazz) are £120-£170 including cutting and programming. Smart Entry proximity keys for modern Hondas cost £170-£240. All include mobile callout — we come to you anywhere in East Yorkshire.
Can you programme Honda Smart Entry keys?+
Yes — Honda Smart Entry is used on modern Civics, CR-Vs, HR-Vs, and Jazz models. We supply and code replacement smart fobs on-site. All keyless features — approach unlock, push-button start, boot release — are tested before we finish.
Do you cut Honda motorcycle keys?+
Yes — CBR, Fireblade, Goldwing, and bikes with HISS immobilisers are all covered. Some Honda bike keys have transponder chips; we can programme those too. Bring the bike to us, or if you're stuck we can come to you.
How long does a Honda key take?+
Most Honda keys take 30-60 minutes. We carry common Honda key blanks and transponder chips (ID46, ID48, ID8E) for the most popular models — Civic, CR-V, Jazz, HR-V.
Can you programme HISS immobiliser keys?+
Yes — HISS (Honda Ignition Security System) is used on both cars and bikes. We programme replacement ID46 and ID48 crypto transponder chips to the HISS system, via OBD on cars and via the immobiliser unit on bikes.
Key works in the door but car won't start — why?+
This means the blade is correct but the transponder chip isn't being read by the immobiliser. Could be a failed chip, lost programming, or a faulty receiver ring around the ignition. We can diagnose and fix it on the spot — usually just a reprogramming job.
