"We were camping at Jacobs Mount, proper canvas tent, air beds, the works. First night, the zip on the tent broke — had to sleep with it half-open. In the morning I couldn't find my car keys. Searched the tent, the groundsheet, the car, the communal washing-up area. Finally found them — our six-year-old had put them in his welly 'for safekeeping' the night before. Except he'd also poured his apple juice into the same welly. The key fob was swimming. Ian came out from Bridlington, dried it out as best we could (it was beyond saving), and cut us a new programmed key. Six-year-old was very apologetic. Ian told him his own son had once posted the TV remote into the toaster, so not to worry."
