How much does a VW key replacement cost?+
VW keys start from £120 for basic non-remote keys. Remote flip keys (Golf, Polo, Passat) are £140-£180 including cutting and programming. KESSY keyless smart keys cost £200-£280. Transporter van keys range from £140-£210. All include mobile callout to your location.
Can you programme VW KESSY keyless keys?+
Yes — KESSY is VW's proximity key system on newer Golfs, Passats, Tiguans, and T-Rocs. We supply and code replacement KESSY fobs so that keyless entry, push-button start, and hands-free boot all work as expected.
What's the difference between VW IMMO3 and IMMO4?+
IMMO3 (1999-2006, Golf Mk4 era) uses ID48 transponders through the instrument cluster. IMMO4 (2006+) adds component protection. We programme both — IMMO3 is quicker (30-45 mins); IMMO4/IMMO5 need secure ECU access (45-90 mins) but we have the tools for it.
Can you replace a VW Transporter key?+
Yes — all Transporter generations from T4 to T6.1. We come to your worksite, home, or roadside. T4 keys are basic; T5/T5.1 use remote flip keys; T6 models often have KESSY. Trade, camper, or fleet — we've done hundreds of Transporters.
How long does a VW key take?+
Most VW keys take 30-60 minutes. IMMO3 systems (older Golfs, Boras) are quicker; IMMO4/newer systems need a secure OBD login which takes a bit longer. We carry common VW blanks and transponders so there's rarely any waiting for parts.
Can you help if I've lost all my VW keys?+
Yes — we do all-keys-lost recovery for VW vehicles. We gain entry, programme new keys via OBD, and delete lost keys from the immobiliser. Covers all VW immobiliser generations. Proof of ownership (V5C) is required.
